We are hosting the Greek Independence Day Parade on the Benjamin Franklin Parkaway in Philadelphia on April 6th, 2025. The parade starts at 22nd and the Parkway but you can stand by the reviewing stand on 18th and the Parkway. See the best Greek groups from Philadelphia, South Jersey and Delaware as they march down the Parkway with their floats, banners, and of course Greek Flags! Listen to traditional Greek music and see the Evzones in their traditional guard uniforms perform ceremonial marches.

Save the date for April 4-6, 2025, as the Greek American community gathers together in Philadelphia for the Annual Greek Independence Day Celebration focusing on promoting cultural diversity, understanding, and Hellenic appreciation in the Delaware Valley. Friday April 4th

Annual Flag Raising Ceremony

Join us for the official start to the Celebration weekend for a flag raising ceremony at Philadelphia’s City Hall.  We will be joined by His Eminence, Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey, Presidential Guard of Greece, local religious leaders, Federal, State, and Local representatives, dignitaries from Greece, and other honorable guests.  A special performance by a traditional Greek dance group will follow the flag raising

 

Saturday April 5th

The Eleftheria Gala

The black-tie gala is the premier dinner event and fundraiser for our Greek Independence Day weekend. It begins with a one-hour cocktail reception and Auction, followed by the introduction of the dais, welcome remarks, presentation of the Presidential Guard of Greece, presentation of 2025 Parade Grand Marshal, and the presentation of the 2025 Eleftheria Medal. There will be a mini-concert featuring entertainment by the legendary Atlantis of Philadelphia, featuring Greek-American International Artist, KALOMIRA.

 

 

Sunday April 6th

2025 Philadelphia Greek Independence Day Parade

Join us for a day of celebration! The day will start with a Doxology at St. George Greek Orthodox Church followed by the parade formation on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and 22nd St. The parade will feature church parishes, organizations, Greek Dance groups, schools, businesses, and more. The parade doesn’t end there! Meet at the Uptown Beer Garden for the official after party.
